Donald’s family has farmed in West Texas since 1901 and as a 4th generation farmer and rancher still lives on the same farm settled by his great-grandparents. Donald’s farm which he works with his wife Cinde, spans across Hale, Castro and Swisher counties in Texas where he raises cotton, seed millet, cucumbers and wheat. Additionally, he runs a mother cow operation and buys stockers.
A 1982 graduate of Texas Tech University, Donald also served as President of the Ag Council during his tenure
Donald is an active community and business leader whose time and talent is given to a host of organizations where he had made numerous contributions. He holds the role of President for Quarterway Cotton Growers, Hale County Hospital Authority and Plainview Young Farmers. He is also active in Plainview’s Lion Club, FFA Chapter, Band Boosters and Bayer’s Club. Additionally, he serves the the business community through positions as an Advisory Director, Happy State Bank; Hale County Crop Improvement Committee Member and Board Member for Hale County.
Family roots continue to run deep as Donald’s son Steve and his wife Shannon farm with him in Plainview, TX. His daughter Jacquelin DeLaFuente also carries on the family tradition raising cotton in Medina County, TX.
